July 21, 2022. Tycko & Zavareei LLP is pleased to announce that Shana Khader is joining the firm as Of Counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Khader’s expertise centers around representing low-income working people particularly immigrant workers, in challenging abusive employment practices through class and individual litigation, policy advocacy, and community organizing as a Senior Managing Attorney at the Equal Justice Center and as a Director of Legal Services at Workers Defense Project. She has extensive experience working with survivors of sexual harassment and assault at work.
Ms. Khader graduated with academic honors from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar (2 years) and a Hamilton Fellow and also graduated with Pro Bono Honors for over 350 hours of pro bono work. She was the Notes Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Problems as well. She served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Debra C. Freeman, Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of New York.
