27 November 2024. Sabita J. Soneji has been appointed to leadership in the multidistrict litigation In Re: Snowflake, Inc., Data Security Breach. This litigation consolidates hundreds of lawsuits arising from a series of massive data breaches related to the Snowflake cloud platform between April and June 2024, which allegedly compromised the personal information of over 500 million individuals.
The litigation involves notable defendants such as Snowflake Inc., and its corporate clients, including AT&T, Ticketmaster/Live Nation, Advance Auto Parts, Lending Tree’s QuoteWizard.com, and The Neiman Marcus Group. The breaches brought attention to alleged failures in securing user data and the shared cybersecurity responsibilities between Snowflake and its clients.
Ms. Soneji joins a distinguished group of attorneys entrusted by the Court to lead this case.
